Marinka Baričević, DMD, Ph.D. (née Baranović) graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb in January 2002. She gained a master's degree at the same Faculty in 2006, by defending her master’s thesis "Oral mucosal lesions during orthodontic treatment". In 2010, she gained her doctorate degree by defending a dissertation titled "Cytotoxic and genotoxic effects of metal ions on oral mucosa".
She worked as a research associate and assistant at the Department of Oral Medicine, Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb until 2014, when she was employed at the Health Center Zagreb West. In 2021, she opened her own private practice, Salus Oris.
Marinka Baričević, DMD, Ph.D. is a specialist in oral medicine, who, in 2011, spent a year at George Eastman Hospital in Rome at the Department of Periodontology and Prosthodontics as an ITI scholarship student conducting clinical and research activities in the field of dental implantology. Dr. sc. Marinka Baričević speaks English, German and Italian. She is a member of domestic and foreign professional associations and has authored several papers in international scientific journals.
